We moved into our newly built house at the beginning of the year and have already experienced multiple issues with the backflow valves. Apparently, the entire drainage system quickly reaches its limits, especially during heavy rainfall when flow is significantly reduced. When the valves close, bubbling and gurgling noises occur throughout the house. The toilets and sinks make sounds and emit a strong unpleasant odor. When the valves are closed, water doesn’t drain anywhere in the house and backflow happens immediately.
This doesn’t seem normal, does it? Where could the problem be?

The backflow prevention level appears to be relatively high in your residential area/on your property. From my experience in Germany, this issue is usually addressed through public regulations concerning the planning and installation of plumbing systems in the house.

Technically, this is not really my area of expertise, so I am unable to offer advice. Have you consulted a plumber or a specialist from the municipal utility company (or whatever the public provider is called)?
