ᐅ Printer – any recommendations?

Hello,
I am in the process of rearranging my room, but I’m missing the right place to put my printer. I have an EXPEDIT desk combination, and there is about 50cm (20 inches) of free space between the shelf and the wall.
I’ve already checked IKEA, but nothing really suitable caught my eye except for the RAST side table:

Open wooden shelf made of natural wood with two shelves

As you can probably see, it doesn’t really match the look of the EXPEDIT. Most likely, a 1x2 or 1x3 EXPEDIT shelf unit would fit best, but unfortunately, those don’t exist.

So I thought I’d just ask here among the creative minds, maybe someone has a solution.

Best regards

So the lacquer shelf is pointless then... But I'm still thinking about it... Though not until tomorrow... Have a good night

I checked the Ikea online store again and found the TRÄBY shelf there. However, it costs about the same as a 1x5 EXPEDIT shelf, probably because it is made of solid wood.

Hi

What do you think about a Faktum upper/lower cabinet with a width of 30–50cm (12–20 inches) and a height of 70cm (28 inches)?
Lower cabinets are about 60cm (24 inches) deep, upper cabinets (without checking) around 35cm (14 inches) deep.

For the cabinets, you can get all kinds of fronts, doors, and shelves. For the feet, you can use ones from a hardware store or the silver Capita ones.

Hello,
thanks for the suggestion. I’ve just checked the website and I think you meant, for example, this one:
- FAKTUM: wall cabinet
I really like it, and the dimensions are good for the printer. But I didn’t expect the color or material of the door to cause such a big price difference.
I was thinking of getting it in beech to match the EXPEDIT shelving unit, but if that almost doubles the price, I’ll probably skip it.

So, thanks again for the suggestion, I really like it, but if others have more ideas, I’m happy to consider them as well.

You can get solid beech doors for about $30 on eBay. Alternatively, check out Avsik doors...

Look for used wall cabinets and doors/fronts on eBay in your area. I recently won a display cabinet door for $5 and the cabinet body for $10 for our kitchen.
