Hello,
I am in the process of rearranging my room, but I’m missing the right place to put my printer. I have an EXPEDIT desk combination, and there is about 50cm (20 inches) of free space between the shelf and the wall.
I’ve already checked IKEA, but nothing really suitable caught my eye except for the RAST side table:
As you can probably see, it doesn’t really match the look of the EXPEDIT. Most likely, a 1x2 or 1x3 EXPEDIT shelf unit would fit best, but unfortunately, those don’t exist.
So I thought I’d just ask here among the creative minds, maybe someone has a solution.
Best regards

Depending on the color of your Expedit, you can get a furniture board cut to your desired size at the hardware store.
Then either at Ikea or the hardware store get 1 or 2 wall brackets, screw the board onto them (usually screws from underneath) and you're done 🙂
We have our printer connected via Wi-Fi in a PS metal sideboard.

assamerer26 Oct 2010 19:37Mav, but it is about 60cm (24 inches) longer than the available space.
If needed, it can be adjusted... I recently cut down a paint shelf myself (everything is possible); it’s just straightforward, but in my case, I only removed 18cm (7 inches) from one side. With 60cm (24 inches), it would reach the area of the first brace/pipe that supports the whole thing.

Maverick185426 Oct 2010 20:03Oh right, my mistake, the dimensions of the printer would still be helpful.
W / D
~ 42cm (16.5 inches) / 30cm (12 inches)
Unfortunately, the LACK shelf is too short. But I still can’t quite imagine how the wall shelf would work. For example, what about the space underneath it? That would then go unused.
