Hello!
I just went through the new kitchen buying guide for countertops, sinks, and faucets, and unfortunately found very little information about custom cuts for the countertops. Is there more information available elsewhere, or do I need to discuss this in detail during a full planning appointment at IKEA in person? Are the prices for rounded corners, joints, and cutouts no longer fixed?

That would be a disaster.
But there is a small note saying that custom countertops should be discussed on site. I just don’t feel like making an appointment when I first want to calculate whether it’s even worth it or if I should do it myself. For now, I guess I can only rely on the old prices...

This option is still available, but the ordering process has changed. Now there is a bundled item that includes screw connections, rounding, cutouts, and so on, so you pay the same price for everything.
There have also been changes regarding the edges, which are now partially included in the price per linear meter of the countertop.
Unfortunately, I don’t know the nine retail prices for the bundled item from IKEA, but to get a rough price indication, I recommend using the countertop calculator from the neighbors in Austria.
Good luck

@ikfansea: Thank you!
@Ikeaner: Wow, nice! No rush, since we have the kitchen fully planned (version one hundred fifty-something or so), but we can’t order it yet anyway. We just wanted to estimate the costs in advance, but if it’s complicated to find out, don’t bother.
We’re considering having the countertop custom-made on the bottom right instead of assembling it ourselves. It would be EKBACKEN concrete pattern with the same edge as the ready-to-buy one.
Is the price calculated per started meter, or exactly per centimeter? And can I still make the cooktop cutout myself on a custom-made countertop? I have to do the sink cutout anyway, so I would have the tools.
The dimensions would be 158 x 40 cm (62 x 16 inches) and 230 x 63.5 cm (91 x 25 inches), but L-shaped connection (so the longer piece is only about 195 cm (77 inches) long?). I would like the countertop joint at the red line. Who actually decides where the cut goes? The customer or IKEA? Or is it not miter cut but joined at 90 degrees? (Then I could also do it myself.)
The shortened-depth countertop would be attached with three heavy-duty brackets (left and right of the wall cabinet and lengthwise between the radiator and cabinet). We would solve the joint at corner C/D differently since it’s only 4 cm (1.5 inches).
