Hello everyone,
since the garden landscaping and paving work are coming up, I have a question that I hope you can help me with:
Around the house, there will be an eaves edge filled with stones/gravel. On one side, instead of the eaves edge, there will be a paved driveway directly adjacent to the house.
My question:
Should I apply bitumen (or something similar) to the base below the brick cladding, or is a dimple membrane between the paving/gravel sufficient?
I would be very grateful for your help. Photos are attached.
The foundation is constructed as follows:
Strip footing with a climate-insulating base layer; formwork blocks were used as the boundary for the slab. Edge and under-slab insulation are also in place.
