SvenHello everyone,
Our shell builder (semi-detached house, ceiling height 2.50 m (8 ft 2 in)) has installed the tension supports required by the structural engineer between the ground floor ceiling and the upper floor ceiling in the corner of the exterior walls as shown in the picture. Is this a proper professional solution? I am concerned about insulation (thermal bridge) and structural integrity (cracks). Apparently, the whole area is supposed to be sealed with insulating mortar.
I would appreciate detailed feedback. Thank you in advance!
