We are building a semi-detached house with a prefabricated house company.

The floors, doors, and painting work are to be done as self-performed tasks.

How much should we expect to pay for plastering work (to prepare for subsequent painting or wallpapering)?

I would be very grateful for any answers.

Please share the section regarding the walls or "ready for wallpapering" from the construction service description: "ready for wallpapering" means that at least the joints have been filled...

In our construction specifications, there are only two options: either you do the plastering and related works yourself or choose the turnkey option (everything included).

How many times has your husband wallpapered a house?

I was just as confident: my plan was one room per day… hehe, close but no cigar…

We ended up taking at least twice as long as I had expected in the worst case.
Eventually, the energy and especially the motivation run out… then the work takes even longer.

Haha... I totally agree! We will probably hire someone outside to do the plastering work. Not sure yet about the painting.

I don’t know which tools and equipment you have available. Since it’s a prefab house, I assume the drywall work will mainly involve touch-ups. I did this with friends and family in an apartment of about 65 m² (700 sq ft), covering all the walls and the ceiling, and spent around €60 in total on joint compound.

That probably won’t be enough for us. All wall joints need to be filled and sanded afterward so that painting or wallpapering can be done properly.
