ᐅ Electric cable too small for multiple supply lines

Hello,

our shell construction is finished and we have a Doyma Basic R3. The electrician said we should install a 5x16mm² cable from the main connection pole (with main distribution box) into the house. Yesterday, the Doyma installation part for indoors arrived, including the internal seals, and it requires the cable to have a minimum diameter of 26mm (1 inch). However, my 5x16mm² cable only has a diameter of 24mm (0.94 inch). Is there a way to adapt something between the cable and the seal, or do we have to use a different cable? The worst case would be replacing the cable since the trench is already closed.

Thank you in advance for your help.

Get the appropriate seal from the manufacturer.
These multi-utility house entries are extremely expensive because they include guarantees for watertightness, not because the plastic is made of gold.
I wouldn’t apply anything to it unless approved by the manufacturer. The part is simply too expensive for that.

I have already looked into it, and there doesn’t seem to be any alternative.

I explained the situation to my site manager today; let's see what he has to say later...

So,

I called Doyma and they are now offering the sealing element XLWL, which allows for several cable options, including 23-40 mm (1-1.6 inches), which fits perfectly with my 23 mm (0.9 inch) cable.

Thanks for all the advice.

What do you see as the problem with simply increasing the cable thickness accordingly in the relevant area?

The sealing is provided by my builder, so I don’t need to “tinker” with it when I can get a 100% fitting part for free.
