Good morning,

For almost three years now, an electrical cable has been hanging from the exterior wall of my house since its construction. Originally, we planned to use it for a classic illuminated house number, which you commonly see on many homes. However, the cable is no longer needed for that purpose. Now I am wondering what to do with it.

The only ideas I have are either installing a light fixture (which I no longer need because there is already an integrated one in the eaves) or a security camera (which I don't need either).

Since pressing the cable back into the wall and covering it with filler doesn't seem like the best option, I wanted to ask if you have any suggestions for what else the electrical cable on the exterior facade could be used for. I would appreciate any advice!

I would create a dummy model.

Yeah, a nice fake camera that flashes red when it detects motion.
Or a metal wall sconce (very popular in the Erzgebirge region). 😎
But a nicely plastered and white-painted wall would look better.

However, there are suitable backing plates (made of acrylic, for example) available, so the Schwibbogen also works well against busy backgrounds. Therefore: Schwibbogen+

Or an outdoor socket for lighting in winter, string lights, or similar. You can never have too many of those.
