ᐅ House Positioning

Hello everyone,

attached is our draft for the positioning of the house on the plot. The image already indicates north orientation. There will be quite a few windows on the south side. I am planning not to place the house all the way to the east for two reasons:

- longer garden area towards the southern neighbor
- less paving work
- breakfast area on the east side

What are your thoughts?

Which rooms will be located in the northeast on the ground floor? The carport could make the room even darker if there is only one window. Otherwise, I think the layout is quite good – I would do it the same way 🙂

On the north side, the guest toilet is located at the far left. Next is the utility room with access to the carport. In the northeast is the study/guest room, which has two windows on the east side.
The carport extends beyond the house for two reasons:
a) access to the carport’s storage shed
b) wind and privacy protection for the breakfast terrace

The carport is not intended to be a double carport, as that would take up too much garden space on the south side. Therefore, a second smaller carport will be added later on the west side.
