perhaps some of you already have practical experience with electric cars and charging stations. We are about to start the wiring for our new double garage. Attached is a sketch:
Next to the distribution board, there will also be a 16A or 32A outlet. Do you think the number of outlets might be too many? And the main question:
1. Where would you generally place wallboxes? Closer to the garage entrance or inside the garage?
2. For a double garage, would you rather go for two wallboxes?

If your bays are 1m wide, both cars won’t fit in the garage - right?When planning, I based it on this overviewI thought that if two cars fit in a width of 5m (external dimensions), then I would make my garage 6m wide and have some extra space. Now we have an internal width of about 5.5m (18 feet). It’s a bit tight, but two cars do fit inside.

I would argue that you could still pull the cable out from inside and leave the garage door open by a few millimeters (if this works with the Hörmann Supramatik E4). What prevents someone from parking inside the garage? With electric garage doors nowadays, that’s really no hassle at all.

I can still consider today whether I need additional ventilation units for myself:
- One fan for supply and exhaust ventilation (e.g. Zehnder ComfoSpot 50)
- Two fans: one for supply air and another for exhaust air (e.g. Zehnder ComfoSpot Twin40)
- The ComfoSpot 70 would probably be oversized (~200€ extra cost)
