Hello everyone,

Instead of having separate controls for the underfloor heating (which should be positioned higher than the switches), we planned to integrate them into the switch panels. In our electrical planning, I always specified that the controllers should be placed at the very top of the panel (which is how it currently is).

On Friday, I noticed that our electrician installed them as follows:

Light switch
Underfloor heating controller
Socket(s)

Now, almost every room has the underfloor heating controllers in a different position.

The electrician refers to his supplement to the plan, where it is described exactly as listed, while I am referring to the drawing.

To change this again (the cover plates are not yet installed), he estimates costs of about 450€ including VAT.

Did you make sure that everything essentially has a specific place, or am I just being too picky because it bothers me visually?

I have not discussed this further with the electrician yet and wanted to hear your opinions first.

Vertical wall electrical panel with three open modules (switches/sockets).

Open flush-mounted socket installation box with visible internal mechanics, cover missing.

Open flush-mounted switch/socket frame in a wall, construction work, covers missing.

There are 12 switches, all installed except for the covers which are still missing.

So? What did you decide?
In our case, they are all mounted low on the strip.

that you will never operate the switches for the underfloor heating.

We do use them; understatement works quite well for controlling individual zones where we find it necessary.

For us, they’re all attached at the bottom of the strip.

We’re keeping it as it is now.

By now, I hardly even notice it anymore 🙂
