Hello everyone,

I need your help or advice.

I am planning to install a metal shed from Biohort, but only now, while assembling the garden shed, did I realize that I approached it the wrong way and would do it completely differently if I had the chance.

Could you please give me your assessment or tips on what I can do?

The garden shed measures 2.54 m by 3.3 m (8.3 feet by 10.8 feet) externally.
I have installed 16 pier foundations and connected them with 4 crossbeams (10×10 cm (4×4 inches)). The wood is treated, and a moisture barrier membrane is installed against rising damp.

On these crossbeams, I screwed 2.4 cm (1 inch) thick tongue-and-groove boards. Now I want to mount the shed on top of that.

But I am unsure if this will hold.

The shed weighs 250 kg (550 lbs) and rests only on the edge of the tongue-and-groove boards, and the crossbeams on the left and right are not placed entirely at the edges (offset by 15 cm (6 inches)).

A wooden board lies on a white construction membrane over the foundation next to a vertical wooden wall.

Sketch of a rectangular house with gable roof, supports below, and spring dampers, 15 cm (6 inches) ground clearance.

Temporary wooden platform in the garden, two concrete blocks on top, background fence and cover.

I would say, in layman’s terms, that it will hold. The weight of 250kg (550 lbs) is still nicely distributed over the whole surface. I would leave it as is.
But as I said, that’s just a Sunday evening opinion, with a beer in my hand.

I would put concrete paving slabs underneath. Also, I've had two beers.

Thank you, I will still set concrete foundation points at the four corners to be sure.

I also think that will hold. How is the house (metal) attached to the wooden structure? The house stands on a load-bearing wooden framework. The wood should have a sufficient moment of resistance to support the weight of the walls and ceiling (Sunday wheat beer opinion).

Will it be possible to enter the garden house level, or will there be a ramp?

My opinion on Veltins Radler: That holds up.

I would first build the house and see how stable it is. If it feels too shaky, then add some stones under the edges.
