Hello everyone,
We are currently building a single-family house.
We are having a hard time designing the bathroom. I have to admit that we were/are quite inexperienced and unfortunately only considered many things too late. It’s always difficult to imagine everything from the plans alone. Only now, after the shell is up and we can see the room in real life, do we realize there are some things we could do differently. In any case, we have to make the best of it.
Therefore, I would like to gather ideas and suggestions on how we can design the bathroom.
I’m attaching the plan of our bathroom (The window is high enough to allow the placement of a bathtub or toilet, etc.).
We need to fit in the following:
- Toilet
- Walk-in shower (with glass panel/divider, but open, meaning no door)
- Bathtub (170-180 cm x 70-80 cm (67-71 inches x 28-31 inches))
- Double vanity (with base cabinet)
- Heated towel rail
We are really struggling with this. Maybe someone has some good ideas. We would be very grateful.
Thank you in advance.

Is there a sloping roof? If yes, where is the 2 m (6 ft 7 in) line and what is the roof pitch?
The floor plans are also quite helpful. It’s important to know where the drainage leads and which rooms are located below and next to it.

I should mention that the dimensions in the above plan are shell dimensions.
The parapet height is approximately 1.2 meters (4 feet). The window dimensions are W 1.51 x H 0.87 meters (W 59 x H 34 inches).
There is a roof slope, but with a knee wall height of 2.15 meters (7 feet), and the bathroom is located exactly in the middle of the house, so the walls here extend well above the knee wall. On the left and right sides of the bathroom are the children's rooms. Part of the hallway and part of the kitchen are located beneath the bathroom.
Regarding connections, drainage, etc., we are still flexible. The plumber will install everything according to the layout and placement we decide on.
