Hello everyone,

I couldn't find a thread on this topic. I'm sure some of you have a pool, whether it’s a Quick Up, frame, steel wall, or even a permanent one. What kind of filter do you use? At the moment, we are still using a simple cartridge filter. However, I am considering switching to a sand filter. Can you recommend anything? What have your experiences been like? We only have a relatively small frame pool, 305x76cm (10x2.5 ft).

It's not just about the pool size, but also about the pump and the filter you need. Your current pump probably isn't sufficient for a "proper filter." Do you have a wastewater connection to perform backwashing?

The pump that came with the pool does not have one.

The pump requires the appropriate pressure and volume for the specific filter. That’s why I suggested that you will probably need to replace it as well.
The filter is backwashed (depending on the level of contamination). This usually goes directly into the sewer or you have a large infiltration system. 1-2 m³ (35-70 cubic feet) are lost each time...
