Does anyone know about this type of facade insulation? See the picture.

The west side of our house is covered with it, and opinions are divided. Some say it needs to be removed because water can seep in at the edges, while others believe it provides good protection for the facade.

My concern is not about the insulation itself, but rather about the protection of the facade.

Best regards

Installed means it’s already been in place for how long?

Are there any issues, or is that why you’re considering making changes?

I’m not exactly sure since when. But since it’s called 2000, it must be around that time period 🙂

We want to wait through the winter and then decide whether to insulate the entire facade or not.

Before that, I’d like to know if this facade covering is any good or not.

The battens are about 7mm (0.3 inches) thick, and directly behind them is this insulation, also 7mm (0.3 inches) thick.
