Hello everyone
I recently tried out the POÄNG armchair from IKEA at a friend’s place and found it quite comfortable at first glance. Now I’m wondering if such an armchair is also suitable for longer TV sessions or reading. Does anyone here have a POÄNG armchair at home for a longer time and can share whether it remains comfortable even after several hours of use?
I’m also interested in how stable the chair is, especially when you sit down with more force or lean back.
Thanks in advance for your experiences!

Of course, our Stressless chair is more comfortable for long reading sessions, which is to be expected given it costs ten times as much—but there are still people who go on vacation in a VW Polo and don’t need a BMW XM.
We have a POÄNG chair stored in the basement used as a Hi-Fi armchair—I can spend hours in it with the right music (185 cm (73 inches) long, 120 kg (265 pounds) weight). The Stressless is upstairs in the conservatory and serves as the reading chair. My wife can only get me out of it with the promise of a good meal...
