Hello everyone,
we are building on a 570sqm (6138 sq ft) plot with a slight slope (south-facing hillside) (approximately 17m (56 ft) wide, approximately 34m (112 ft) deep). It will be a house with three gables. The longer side of the house faces the shorter side of the plot. Is it possible to build the bay window of the house towards the slope (i.e., to the rear), or would that be problematic?
Thank you and best regards

It is not your drawing skills regarding the slope that prevent me from understanding the important details in the plan: the level probably represents the height of the ground floor slab, but where are the property boundaries? A second perspective showing the entire plot from above could greatly clarify this. Only the zoning plan can confirm whether the house fits within the building envelope / building permit area.
There is basically no objection to adding a bay window on the garden or uphill side. However, there are several issues with designing a house suitable for a flat lot on a sloped site.
They say faith can move mountains. In homeowner forums, I currently get the impression that hope is expected to flatten even vineyard plots. But even with extensive earthworks, the possibilities for such modifications are limited.

Hello everyone,
We are building on a 570sqm (6,135 sqft) plot with a gentle slope facing south (about 17m (56 ft) wide, about 34m (112 ft) deep). It will be a house with three gables. The longer side of the house faces the shorter side of the plot. Can we build the bay window of the house facing the slope (i.e., to the back), or will that cause problems?
Thanks and regards We did the same on a very similar plot. Have the excavator include the digging for the terrace/garden right away. And good luck with the earthwork costs. Do you already have a quote?
