Hello dear forum,
we are close to making the final decision on a floor plan but cannot decide (we honestly have no experience). Therefore, we are asking for your help.
Basically:
- Semi-detached house from 1965.
- Demolition of current extensions and a new addition.
- The upper floor is for the children (with their own bathroom).
What do you think? Does this make sense so far? Is the extension large enough, or should we build out another meter (3 feet)?

Honestly, I find the extension monstrous and unattractive. The open-plan area is 63 square meters (approx. 678 square feet), of which one-third is just pointless empty space. The office with the pantry takes away the important natural light from the right side of the plan. The "closet room" has no natural light at all. In my opinion, all of this feels very careless and thoughtlessly attached. Enlarging this monster even more only makes it worse.
My impression: Someone here just wants to make quick money, without putting any real thought into it.
