Hello

a question for the experts. We want to buy a turnkey property. What are the differences between anthracite-colored versus white uPVC windows for a ground-level terrace facing southwest?

There shouldn’t be any price difference, right?

Thanks in advance

Hello,

my parents installed brown windows 30 years ago. The frames are very faded, even on the north side.

I don’t know how much the technology has improved since then, but I think colored window frames will eventually fade.

Old white uPVC windows are now gray because the surface becomes porous and dull. The same applies to the old brown frames, which also fade.

I believe that today’s manufacturing in plastic windows (30 years later), especially the foil coating, is much, much better. This also applies to uncoated white windows.

I can’t speak from experience, but I’ve heard that windows start to crack when they’re dark because of thermal stress. That sounds logical to me.

Still, €22 for a window seems very cheap. Maybe that’s just for the material, but what about labor costs? Does the frame come included as well?

We also decided against it over a few thousand euros and I’m happy with how it is. White house, white windows.
