ᐅ Rendering the facade and brick cladding the gable – which color combinations to choose?

nagner99Hello everyone,
We are in the final planning stages of our building project and are now considering how to design the facade. It will be a single-family house with one story and a pitched roof (40 degrees) as well as a flat-roofed gable (3.5m x 1m (11.5ft x 3.3ft)) positioned in the center. We are wavering between a gray-beige brick facade with a white plastered gable, or a fully plastered house with only the gable in brick. A question regarding this: which plaster color would match a gable in dark red brick? White seems too plain. The windows will be anthracite.
Best regards
Alex

We are in the final coordination stage of our construction project.Considering the short planning period and the limited information you have shared so far (only in https://www.hausbau-forum.de/threads/grundriss-fuer-efh-in-waldrandlage.42096/) about the project, I must say I am surprised you have reached this level of building readiness. Even experienced home builders don’t usually manage this so quickly. nagner99 schrieb:

We are now undecided between a brick veneer facade in gray-beige and a white plastered gable, or a fully plastered house with only the gable in brick veneer. Are you referring to the entrance-side projection when you say “gable,” and do you want to highlight only this part with either a positive or negative contrast to the rest of the house?https://www.instagram.com/11antgmxde/

By “gable,” do you mean the entrance-side projecting section, and do you want to highlight only this part (either “positively” or “negatively”) in contrast to the rest of the house? It is a flat roof gable that extends 1m (3.3 ft) beyond the house’s main footprint and is intended to be set apart in contrast to the rest of the house. This will be done either with render/plaster (if the house is brick-clad) or brick cladding (if the house is rendered/plastered).
