Hello everyone,

we want to renovate our old building (1958) with brick slips and external thermal insulation composite system (ETICS).
The base of the house is currently clad with natural stone.

For aesthetic reasons, we would like to plaster it.
Is this possible without any issues?
What should we consider?

Thank you in advance for your opinions.

Best regards,

Hello Basti, are you planning to plaster the natural stone? I think it looks really nice on your house. Plastering natural stone is actually not a problem. However, you should make sure to remove any loose (old) mortar, and very importantly, use a soft plaster, because if the plaster is too hard, cracks can form in the wall. Good luck!
