In an older building, the plaster at the base of the facade is now peeling off in many places.

What is this type of plaster called? Is it "Pebble dash" or just "roughcast"?
Are there any alternatives to pebble dash (and if so, which ones)?
If the base is to be plastered again, the fact that the actual wall is made of sandstone would probably need to be taken into account.
To allow the sandstone to breathe moisture, a vapor-permeable (breathable) coating should probably be used. Am I correct? Which products would be suitable for this?
Does a primer always need to be applied before plastering?
Or are there plaster products that do not require a primer?
Which primer products are recommended?
What should the cost of plastering work (excluding materials) be per square meter?
