I have a question! Is there any good and affordable (3D) planning software that allows you to start working on the furnishing and design of the house and garden in advance? I'm finding it difficult to imagine everything at the moment!

Also, I don’t want to have to do everything at the last minute, or else we might end up in an empty house 😉

One of the most popular applications is probably Sweet Home 3D. It allows you to relatively easily recreate a house, including interior walls, and then furnish it as well as visualize it interactively. The learning curve is generally quite manageable, and unless someone is completely unfamiliar with computers, they should not expect major difficulties.

In addition, there are, of course, many other planning tools (such as Arcon) or more technically oriented 3D drawing programs (Google Sketchup, etc.), but I have always been comfortable using Sweet Home 3D.

Best regards

Although I am very tech-savvy, I still use the method of moving paper snippets in the correct size back and forth on the plans for this kind of task. No software allows such quick remodeling. And when it comes to visualization: none of the programs ever have my furniture and flooring options anyway...

Hello, we found the software Roomsketcher, which is a purely online tool in the web browser. The software can be used for free, and for a small fee, 3D visualization with a 3D walk-through is also possible. We are very satisfied with the software.

I also think SweetHome3D is good and don’t find the learning curve steep at all. But I’m sure that was what was meant above.

Roomeon is supposed to be quite good as well.

A steep learning curve means that you can learn things quickly... or, to quote Wikipedia: "The steeper the learning curve, the greater the efficiency in learning."
