Hello,

I would appreciate any feedback on these ideas. Much of it is not yet finalized because I am primarily looking for initial input.

The planned house will be built on a plot that slopes approximately 1 meter (3.3 feet) from north to south. However, the ground floor can only be 30 cm (12 inches) above street level. The house must have a 40° pitched roof. Two full stories are possible, but we are planning for 1.5 stories with a knee wall height of 1.50 meters (5 feet). Eventually, two adults and two children will live in the house. I have not yet planned the upper floor because, in my view, the ground floor is more complex; once that is finalized, I will work on the upper floor.

The current design is based on a 10 x 10 meter (33 x 33 feet) slab foundation. Wall thicknesses may add to this, or the rooms might be slightly smaller. The wall between the guest room and living room could possibly be moved along the yellow line. Likewise, the closet in the hallway might be relocated under the stairs. The red/gray areas in the images are placeholders for the fireplace.

I created everything on the computer since it allows me to try different variations more quickly.

I look forward to your feedback and plan to post the next steps here as well.

Good luck,
LiquidSky

What should I understand by the above expression?

What exactly can I understand from the statement above?

In the current floor plan, the seating in the living room is all oriented inward, facing the inside of the building.
This might be intentional, but I prefer interesting indoor-outdoor relationships and sightlines that allow both integration with the garden and a home theater experience.

If you want to bring ideas or sketches, use graph paper or millimeter paper and accurately draw the wall thicknesses and other details.

Without dimensions, it is difficult to help you, and it’s impossible to know if it will really fit later on.

Overall, I would say this is a standard floor plan for which you can definitely find templates and ideas online.

What exactly is meant by the phrase mentioned above?

“Introverted” has been used by Wanderdüne in (almost) every floor plan discussion for weeks now. Although the term actually belongs to psychology, she apparently doesn’t know that 😉
From the context, Wanderdüne seems to mean subordinate or secondary 🙂

@Wanderdüne: The word “introverted” always refers to the behavior of people.

Great, now people are already trying to interpret my statements 🙂. Let’s see how this develops over the centuries...

Just to clarify, when I say “introverted living room,” I mean to apply what is commonly meant (non-scientifically) by describing a person as “introverted” (inward-focused) to the living room and the life within it.

It is closed in on itself, does not open onto the garden (taking into account seating and windows), sightlines remain inside, and so on.

If you use foreign words, use them correctly—otherwise, it’s embarrassing... and there’s no need for further interpretations either 🙄
