Hello everyone,
We have a mid-terrace house with a south-facing roof, but it has a dormer and two skylights. I would like to roughly estimate how many panels I can fit on my roof. Is there a simple tool where you can use something like Google Maps to do such a planning or estimation? Many thanks in advance.

Additionally, our current gas heating system is installed on the upper floor, What about the heat pump on the exterior wall of the room, mounted on supports? That would also mean a short connection route, right? Just a spontaneous idea, but I'm far too much of a layperson to fully understand the specifics.

What about the heat pump on the exterior wall of the room on supports? Unfortunately, that is not possible because, due to the propane (refrigerant), a minimum distance of 1 m (3.3 feet) must be maintained from any windows and light wells.
The garden on the other side is ruled out due to space and noise. Unfortunately, the only option left is the front side.

Installation costs are 2300 euros. It sounds like a lot, but it is actually similar in all quotes. For 7 kW output, that is about 16 modules of 450 W each. A good module costs 70 euros and the mounting material about 50 euros per module. Then there is a good inverter for 3000 euros and a good battery for 3000 euros.
That’s roughly 7000 euros. What else comes in addition to installation? Connection? Registration?

Yes... there are also electrical modifications, smart meter installation, and registration. All of this is included in the quote. And of course, it’s understandable that the installer needs to make a profit.

A report can be found by searching for "heat pump on the roof of a narrow mid-terrace house," where the heat pump was even installed on the pitched roof. Previously, there was a gas heating system in the attic.
And by searching for "heat pump installation bosy online," you’ll find an overview page that mentions various installation options, including indoor installation in the attic, and provides further links.
The issue of terraced houses and limited or unsuitable installation space in front of the house affects quite a few residential areas.
