Hello,
with the existing floor plan, we have currently planned the following kitchen layout.
The total area of the kitchen with the dining corner is 21 sqm (226 sq ft), and the length of the room (wall with the kitchen units) is 440 cm (14 ft 5 inches).
A kitchen island is planned, but purely as a work surface (no stove), possibly with open cabinets underneath;
and optionally with a raised section at the end of the island so it can serve as a kind of bar.
Note: In the rendered image, the colors and designs (wall shelf, island, sink, etc.) are just examples (as rendered by Sweet3D), the main focus is on the arrangement and sequence of cabinets and appliances.
It might also be nice to have a (small) work surface in the window corner (facing southwest, evening sun).
Currently, the dishwasher is planned there, close to the sink, and the open door is hardly an issue (because it is along the wall).
Any ideas, comments, suggestions?
Good luck,
martin

If I were you, I would go to a different forum. There, I would share more information. For example, the kitchen does not have a pantry cabinet. A walk-in pantry is not visible on the plan.
Fully automatic coffee machine or which type of coffee maker should be placed close to the water supply for easy water disposal and refilling. A dishwasher mounted on the wall is very inconvenient to use, although it might be suitable for a left-handed person. The sink should be near the food preparation area. Refrigerator next to the oven? Hot next to cold?
And then the dishes stored openly, so they first collect dust and then get greasy...
I don’t think the design is good at all.

Thanks for all the suggestions so far.
> Fully automatic coffee machine or which type of coffee maker should be located near the water supply, simply to make it easy to dispose of and refill water. >
We’ve had a fully automatic coffee machine for 10 years. It’s no problem to refill water every two days, even though it’s about 3 m (10 feet) away from the water source.
> Dishwasher on the wall is really bad for operation; maybe a left-handed person would like it.
We usually unload the dishwasher standing in front of it, but for right-handed people unloading from the left side is also not a real problem.
The advantage of our edge version is that you don’t trip over it when the dishwasher door is open. I consider that a big plus…
> Refrigerator next to the oven? Hot next to cold?
That is no longer an issue nowadays.
> And the dishes left open, first collecting dust, then getting greasy…
Not all dishes, but some.
> I actually don’t like the design at all.
Yes, what would be your proposed solution given the existing floor plan?
;-)
We need to reconsider placing the stove on the island...
That was planned once but was later discarded for other reasons...
PS: Don’t get me wrong, but some of the points mentioned we don’t see as disadvantages…
