Hello everyone,

we would like a patio roof as shown in the attachment.
For us, only half of the patio would be covered, specifically the area in front of the kitchen. Our design is finished, pending structural engineer approval.

Should the patio roof be included in the architectural plans and building permit / planning permission, or is it sufficient to address it during the landscaping phase?

Good luck

Our patio roof on the south side will be at least 5.50 meters long (18 feet) and not too high because of the windows above. I actually think we will have a shady spot underneath in the afternoon, and for very hot days there’s still the lower north-facing garden.
But we will observe the sun’s position during the shell construction phase.

What does variable roofing mean? I’m curious now

Rectangular pavilion (3 x 4 meters) (10 x 13 feet) from the DIY store made of aluminum. Quite stylish. Can be closed on top. 2.30 meters high (7.5 feet).
In the afternoon, our sun bed (in the southeast) is in the shade, while the dining area underneath is in full sun. Well then: it is definitely stylish An umbrella, which is what it was originally bought for, is now planned for purchase again …
At least you can move your tomato plants under cover and stay seated in the rain
