Hello, we are quite frustrated.
We can’t seem to find a proper solution for planning our kitchen, where we would also like to include a small dining table with four chairs.
There are 5 people in our household.
Where should the tall cabinets go, where should the passage to the utility room be, and where should the stove and other appliances be placed?
Entrance with a smaller kitchen floor plan including access to the terrace
Entrance with a larger floor plan without access to the terrace.

Quick side note: Personally, I think the kitchen is too small and would remove the dining table to enlarge the kitchen instead. I understand your wish to have a casual dining area there, but without a basement you only have the utility room and storage room for extra storage. We have a utility room of your size as well, and the two of us filled it completely.
With well-arranged cabinets, you can still gain a good amount of space despite heating, etc., but naturally you have to store a lot there. We keep suitcases, spare tiles, inline skates, camping gear, drinks, pantry items, warranty boxes, tools, cleaning supplies, washing machine, dryer, and so on. A utility room fills up quickly. With five people, you easily have twice as much of everything.
All the kitchen items you need will never fit into such a small kitchen section. That means you will have to store many of them in the utility room. That’s why we planned a larger kitchen with lots of storage in the kitchen island. That would be more important to me, especially since you already have a large dining table.
Edit: I just noticed you have a relatively large attic. You can, of course, store quite a bit there. But you might still want kitchen items more accessible.Hi, very good points. Thanks for the input.
We have storage space under the stairs,
an attic,
an outdoor storage room, and a double garage outside,
a large office where some storage options will also be available.
The kitchen currently looks like this and was planned this way, and this is the floor plan.
But you’re right. Pots and such should all be stored in the kitchen...
Since we don’t use a pro version, here’s a brief explanation:
Two sliding door elements as access
Island with cooking area
Small dining table
The brown area is meant to represent a side-by-side refrigerator
And one of the tall cabinets will be a passageway to the utility room.
