I am currently having the Zehnder Q450 installed, with pipes being "Fränkische Profiar Classic 63." In the living/dining/kitchen area, the pipes are installed on the surface because a suspended ceiling will be installed here.

Unfortunately, the pipe routing at the entry to the room is not very well planned and crosses over itself, as shown in the pictures. I can still have this changed if it would cause any disadvantage.

My main question is: Could this "junction point" potentially cause flow noise or other issues? Does anyone have experience or expertise?

Why should there be any noise there? If a silencer is installed on the device and the system is properly designed, nothing will happen.

Since this involves supply and exhaust air, the ducts will almost inevitably cross each other somewhere, depending on the room layout.
Everything that can be said about airflow noise has already been mentioned.

We also have a Zehnder pump and some bends without silencers. Certainly, the installation could be done better... The important thing according to the manufacturer is that the pipes are not crushed. Whether this will cause noise later on, I cannot say... Many neighbors have the same system. For some, it is loud and for others quiet (at the same setting).

No one knows the reason... maybe someone here has a guess???
