Hello everyone,

Since December 8, 2020, our photovoltaic system has been connected to the meter. Now we need to submit our first meter reading. According to the meter, we have fed 891 kWh into the grid so far (today). How should this figure be interpreted? The weather has mostly been cloudy with a few partly sunny days.

Can anyone provide some insight or an assessment?

Edit: Assuming I am interpreting this correctly, the meter shows that as of today, 891 kWh have been fed into the grid, and 2 kWh have been drawn from the grid. This seems plausible since we do not live in the house yet and only use electricity for devices and a few LED lights.

Edit 2: Oh, and the system has a gross capacity of 9.8 kWp.

Something must be incorrect with your data.
We have a 9.3 kWp system (south-facing roof) and produced 163 kWh in December.
Do you have a bidirectional meter and possibly confused feed-in and consumption?

Yes, I do. Meter 1 shows 891 kWh, meter 2 shows 2 kWh. It does seem odd to me as well, which is why I’m asking. According to the meter reading query, 1 is “high tariff delivery” and 2 is “high tariff consumption.”

Ah, okay, that sounds more like a dual-rate meter, with separate tariffs for "daytime electricity" and "nighttime electricity."

Can you explain what you think this means? Unfortunately, I wasn’t present during the installation and am currently trying to understand which meter is for what. A second physical meter has been installed for the heat pump. It shows 263 kWh.

I don’t know how you envisioned the whole setup, but often a heat pump tariff doesn’t make much sense. In the end, it’s simple math, and you can calculate what works best for you. We produce, consume as much as possible ourselves, and feed the surplus back into the grid.
Your electricity meter should show two numbers:
1.8.0 is always consumption
2.8.0 feed-in
Do you see these?
