ᐅ Photovoltaic system with hybrid inverter without internet connection?

Hello everyone,

Our construction is unfortunately delayed...
The photovoltaic panels have been installed on the roof since the end of November (mounted immediately after the roofing). The electricity inside the house has been available for a month, and the meter (bidirectional meter) has been connected for a week.
My photovoltaic offer states that the system can only be connected once the internet is working in the house. However, that could take until autumn...
Before I call the photovoltaic company, I wanted to ask about your experiences to prepare for the conversation.
Do I really need a permanent internet connection?
Would it not be enough if I provide my phone’s hotspot for configuring the inverter? It is a GoodWe hybrid inverter but without a battery for now.
It is quite frustrating to have no functioning photovoltaic system during this weather even though the panels are already on the roof...

Well, it depends. As long as the main line for fiber optic/cable is already installed, there can definitely be cases where some people get connected faster depending on priority. For example, my neighbor moved in 6–8 months earlier, but I had cable internet first... hehe.

Just a brief feedback here.

Thanks for the tip about the mobile router. We bought one at Lidl for a low price along with a 3GB prepaid SIM card. This setup works perfectly. The photovoltaic system was commissioned on June 20th.
Output as of today – 525 kWh.

So far, almost the entire output has been fed into the grid. In about 10 days, we will start the screed heating program. I hope that by then the earlier installation of the system will really pay off.
