Hello,

I would like to know your opinions on the topic of photovoltaic systems.
The plan is for a house with 140 sqm (1507 sq ft) with a south-facing roof.
Is financing such a system worthwhile?
What are your personal experiences in this area?
Do you have to feed the electricity into the grid, or is it allowed/possible to use it yourself?
Are there any special incentives or subsidies available?

What disadvantages does installing such a system have (please don’t mention “appearance”)?

KfW with 0.5% effective interest ... for me it’s 79€/month (about $86/month) over 15 years

Yes, there are providers offering "heat electricity" – I still have this, but it will be discontinued because otherwise there is no coupling of the storage/photovoltaic with the heat pump. I want to trigger the heat pump via HomeManager and then fully utilize the storage. Interaction between photovoltaic + storage + heat pump + weather forecasts

Heat electricity is currently around 0.20€/kWh (about $0.22/kWh) plus a basic fee...

KfW interest is actually 1.03%...

79€ (about $86) sounds pretty good, but that doesn’t cover the monthly electricity consumption, does it?

The feed-in tariff guaranteed for over 20 years finances the system without self-consumption.

My first month (see #123) looked like this: about €110 (approximately $120) feed-in tariff, about €50 (approximately $55) savings on electricity consumption. Winter will be worse.

The interest costs for 10 kWp are about €5 (approximately $5.50) per month on average over your 15-year term.

Anyone have a tip on how or where to get the KFW 270 as a standalone product?

Thanks!

Heat pump, circulation line, 2 households, small child, clothes dryer, 3 refrigerators, air conditioning, rain shower... highest self-sufficiency rate was 88%. If I turn off air conditioning, circulation line and ventilation, certainly >90%. But do I want that?

Our setup is almost exactly the same, just without air conditioning. My self-sufficiency for June 19 is 95%, July 19 is 91%, and August 19 is 90%.

We have 9.2 kWp on the roof and 10.5 kW storage.

I’m not paying 1800€ (about 2000 USD) in interest on 15k (about 16,500 USD) over 15 years, I thought we were below 1%.
The 79€ (about 85 USD) is the installment to KfW.

Interest costs are operating expenses

There are also rental models, but I have never seen them as profitable. Especially in times of 1% interest rates.
