Hello,
I would like to know your opinions on the topic of photovoltaic systems.
The plan is for a house with 140 sqm (1507 sq ft) with a south-facing roof.
Is financing such a system worthwhile?
What are your personal experiences in this area?
Do you have to feed the electricity into the grid, or is it allowed/possible to use it yourself?
Are there any special incentives or subsidies available?
What disadvantages does installing such a system have (please don’t mention “appearance”)?

I’m also wondering how you manage that. I had 68% last month without storage, using a heat pump and air conditioning.I’m at 16% self-consumption without storage with a 10kWp system and the same combination. Are you referring to self-sufficiency?Many heat pumps are connected to the main electricity meter.
Is it possible to finance a photovoltaic system in a “cost-neutral” way? Unfortunately, we don’t have any money left...
We will also get a separate meter for the heat pump, but to be honest, I haven’t found an affordable tariff for it yet. Or is it more about buying cheaper nighttime electricity?

Just connect the heat pump to the regular meter. If that’s not possible, build a meter cascade so the heat pump can use the electricity from the roof while you still have two tariffs.

Having a storage tank definitely pays off. Production: 687.86 kWh
Consumed from that: 442.09 kWh, fed into the grid: 245.77 kWh
Consumption: 606.23 kWh
Self-produced: 442.09 kWh, purchased: 164.14 kWh
Yes, the heat pump is, of course, connected to the same meter as the photovoltaic system and the rest of the house…
Self-sufficiency is 73%
There is also a metering concept that includes a meter for the heat pump while still using the photovoltaic electricity. But however it is implemented – it would be unwise not to connect the biggest power consumer to the photovoltaic system.
Our current self-consumption is 35% with just under 7kWp, using a heat pump and no battery storage. I am very satisfied with that, especially during summer.
