Hello everyone,
I have a question and hope there is a general answer to it.
Today we have the first appointment with a construction company that would act as the general contractor for a possible project and works together with an architect.
If we ask them for a quote and the architect needs to create the initial floor plans, at what point would we receive an invoice?
The main concern is whether, if we request multiple quotes, we would end up receiving an invoice each time.
Is this a silly question? I hope not (:
Is the answer already available in another thread? If so, I would appreciate the link.
Thanks in advance!

We also considered Heinz von Heiden at one point, but we quickly dismissed that idea. After the initial consultation yesterday, we have an appointment with the architect next week. We were clearly informed that the first floor plans and designs up to the point of receiving a quote are free of charge.

thelastscout8510 Mar 2017 14:35Hello,
just a quick update with a few final words in this thread: We decided to stay with this architect, who prepared and submitted all the plans, the KfW documentation (through an energy consultant), and the documents for the knowledge transfer procedure. He also designed a lighting plan for the ceiling spotlights. The fee was around 3600 euros, which seems fair to me.
