ᐅ Payment of the architect

Hello everyone,
I have a question and hope there is a general answer to it.

Today we have the first appointment with a construction company that would act as the general contractor for a possible project and works together with an architect.
If we ask them for a quote and the architect needs to create the initial floor plans, at what point would we receive an invoice?
The main concern is whether, if we request multiple quotes, we would end up receiving an invoice each time.

Is this a silly question? I hope not (:
Is the answer already available in another thread? If so, I would appreciate the link.

Thanks in advance!

No... just a lot of experience.

The original poster is not describing the usual process followed by nationwide providers of solid (or masonry) houses.

Let's wait and see before we jump to conclusions; it might be that we are underestimating his current favorite 😉

I apologize for the silly question, but what does TE actually mean?

You shouldn’t do that either; our gut is usually wiser than our brain. Given your experience, it’s perhaps understandable to suspect dishonesty from every provider, but from my perspective, that’s also unwise.

There are more reputable and therefore good providers nationwide than this forum sometimes wants us to believe.

It’s not silly, just internet slang 😀

TE = Thread starter (the user who wrote/posted the first/original question) 😉

I have been thinking about it for a long time, but I would not have thought of that. Thank you!
