Hello,

please help me. For days, I have been drawing various layouts, thinking I found a solution, only to discard it again. This is driving me crazy.

I want built-in walk-in showers in both bathrooms, completely without doors.
In the master bathroom, a small bathtub is planned, as well as a comfortably sized walk-in shower and, if possible, a double sink.

You will find the architect’s proposal attached.
I find the shower partition in the children’s bathroom not long enough, but it seems it cannot be made longer because of the window.

In the master bathroom, the toilet is too close to the shower entrance. Perhaps the shower wall could be shortened.

Do you have any ideas?
The two drawings are mine.
Windows are not fixed and can be changed freely.

The drawing with the washing machine + dryer is the children’s bathroom.

Thanks in advance!

Sorry if I missed something here:

Is the bathtub being moved to the kids' bathroom, or how?

A passage of 70cm (28 inches) is enough. The showers won’t be too small at 1.2 x 2.30m (4 x 7.5 ft) anyway. I would probably reduce the width to 1.00m (39 inches), that’s more than sufficient. You also need to consider the wall thickness if you don’t want glass.

What do you think about this?
If bathroom segregation is the holy grail, then be unhappy with God’s blessing. The solution is so close, but those who don’t want it already have it. As always, I don’t see this as a matter of centimeters.

A 70cm (28 inches) passage is enough. Showers at 1.2 x 2.30 meters (4 x 7.5 feet) definitely won’t be too small. I would probably reduce the width to 1.00 meter (3.3 feet), that’s plenty. You also have to consider the wall thickness if you don’t want glass.

That was just a quick idea. I couldn’t come up with anything better. And we adults hardly ever take baths anyway. So the kids get the bathtub. We can still use it there as well.

I accounted for an additional 10cm (4 inches) of wall thickness. The architect had planned showers in the master bathroom with 1.20m (4 feet) plus 10cm (4 inches) of wall. I just adopted that.

My husband wants a double sink. Do you think that’s feasible or is it too cramped? Any suggestions for improvement?

Four people get ready at the same time in the morning. We need two bathrooms. So why not create a parent zone?

That is correct. In the shell construction phase, 10 cm (4 inches) would be the thickness of the gypsum boards I would use here. Aerated concrete or drywall would also be possible but would not be my first choice.

I already said, you may have God’s blessing – you don’t need mine. I don’t live in your house.

So, a 1.2m (4 feet) shower is too large? I’m not familiar with this and haven’t seen many in real life yet.
