Hello,

please help me. For days, I have been drawing various layouts, thinking I found a solution, only to discard it again. This is driving me crazy.

I want built-in walk-in showers in both bathrooms, completely without doors.
In the master bathroom, a small bathtub is planned, as well as a comfortably sized walk-in shower and, if possible, a double sink.

You will find the architect’s proposal attached.
I find the shower partition in the children’s bathroom not long enough, but it seems it cannot be made longer because of the window.

In the master bathroom, the toilet is too close to the shower entrance. Perhaps the shower wall could be shortened.

Do you have any ideas?
The two drawings are mine.
Windows are not fixed and can be changed freely.

The drawing with the washing machine + dryer is the children’s bathroom.

Thanks in advance!

How long and wide should a walk-in shower be at minimum to be truly comfortable?
Is 1.60 meters (5 feet 3 inches) enough, or is 1.8 meters (5 feet 11 inches) or even 2 meters (6 feet 7 inches) better?
In the master bathroom, the architect planned for 2 meters (6 feet 7 inches) in length.
From what length do you think it becomes excessive? The shower is accessible from only one side. Would you reduce the length to 1.6 meters (5 feet 3 inches) or 1.8 meters (5 feet 11 inches)?

Okay, I’ve redrawn the master bathroom.
Which layout do you think is better, number 1 or number 2?

Are your drawings to scale? Try adding some measurements.

Do you adults really need two sinks, a bathtub, and a shower? And how old are the kids? Don’t they take baths?

The last two, yes. I will take a closer look at it later.

The room is 3.10 m (10 ft 2 in) wide and 3.55 m (11 ft 8 in) long in the shell construction phase.
The bathtub measures 1.70 x 0.70 m (5 ft 7 in x 2 ft 4 in).
The built-in shower is 1.30 m x 1.80 m (4 ft 3 in x 5 ft 11 in) (or shorter or longer, whatever works without a door—I drew it at 1.8 m).
The washbasins are 55 cm (22 in) deep and 0.65 m (2 ft 2 in) wide.
The toilet bowl requires 0.90 x 0.90 m (3 ft x 3 ft).
