Does anyone have or plan to install a special parcel mailbox? We both work full-time and prefer not to bother our neighbors with package deliveries.
How do parcel mailboxes work (the postal carrier must be able to leave the package inside, and it must not be possible to open it afterward)?
It’s not a must—just something we’re considering.

HilfeHilfe1 Nov 2016 21:44With DHL, you can specify a preferred delivery location. For us, it’s the terrace, which is accessible to the courier. This generally works very well. However, I’m not sure how it is handled if a package goes missing...
With the permission to leave the package, the risk is transferred to you. It’s no different at the parcel locker. If the compartment is empty, it’s hard to prove that nothing was ever inside. However, no one can take anything out of the parcel box without a key unless vandalism occurs.
