ᐅ Safe room in an older building: security expert for older buildings wanted

Hello

I am facing a challenge:
An old building is to be upgraded for extreme security.
Windows that are truly secure. What protection class is available for that?
Doors accordingly.
And preferably a complete lockdown of the upper floor—essentially a large panic room.
An architect is involved. He is experienced with old houses, but probably less so with security.
Budget is not the top priority. I understand that upgrading will not be cheap.
Does anyone know a company or specialist familiar with mechanical security upgrades?

People who obviously get their knowledge from private medical TV shows are already diagnosing me with schizophrenia (what evidence in this thread points to a split personality)

Schizophrenia is not related to multiple personality disorder. People with schizophrenia can, among other symptoms, experience paranoia or feel they are being watched. These traits apparently apply to you.
Of course, the choice of wording was the well-known rhetorical device of exaggeration, intended to express that your behavior gives outsiders the impression of a possible psychotic disorder.
Obviously, a thorough diagnosis cannot be made based on forum posts.

I'm still in favor of prison. By the way, I'm afraid of small dogs. Typical jogger.

Hello aero,

I was in a relationship with a psychologist for some time. She diagnosed various things in me. But neither schizophrenia nor paranoia were among them.
Here is a brief explanation to help bring us back to reality (and advice).
This "renovation" is not being carried out by me. I neither have the financial means nor the need for these measures.
Professionally, I work in an environment where I come into contact with people who have more money than average. Some of them are willing to spend more money for their security. This is exactly such a case. Since people think I know everything, I have been assigned to provide consultation (not for the renovation itself, as I’m not very familiar with it).

Although this does not directly address the original question, it is always fascinating how quickly these discussions can digress. A more or less clear factual question was asked, with a request to refrain from personal judgments—yet interpretations, evaluations, and psychological diagnoses from afar are flooding in. I have spent several minutes trying to find the right word for this... I think "disgusting" fits best.

Steven, unfortunately, I cannot offer any professional advice. However, it seems you have already found some information. In principle, I think the suggestion to contact a security provider such as Telenot can potentially be beneficial. In some cases, reaching out to companies specializing in property and personal protection might also be advisable. Whether there are companies that also provide consulting services, I do not know. In any case, I wish you continued success in finding a solution!

Sometimes I wonder when reading the comments here. It's okay to find some things strange, but there is no need to go on about it for pages. If someone has that much of a need for security and the necessary budget, they should be free to do so. No one else is affected by it.

Now, to the matter itself. There is a large security trade fair in Essen. I came across it professionally once but did not attend. It might be worth browsing through the exhibitor directory to see if any company offers something like this, or often experts give presentations at such fairs. Perhaps there is someone there you could approach.
