Hello everyone,
is it okay to carry out painting work during the heating phase, or should the house not be entered at all during this time?
Does this damage the screed?

Our painter said this week that you should definitely not hang wallpaper while the heating system is running and there are such temperature and humidity fluctuations in the house. He said you need to wait until this process is complete.

The screed won’t be affected by this. You’ll need to enter the room 2 to 3 times a day anyway for ventilation. As long as you’re painting, it doesn’t matter if you can handle the heat inside. Just never keep the window open continuously! Only use shock ventilation. However, when wallpapering, the question is whether the wallpaper will stay adhered. Therefore, I would start only during the final heating week (when it gets cooler).

So, work started for us from the 2nd week of heating... People did complain because it was like a sauna, but whatever... I just need to think about what else was done – sanitary parts were installed... tiling was also done during that time. The painters had already finished, we don’t have wallpaper or fleece.

Painting means covering. I would avoid doing that on large surfaces.
Depending on the temperature inside the house, you might also exceed the specifications of the materials.
Are the walls even dry yet?

I recommend smoothing and sanding a comfortable lightweight ceiling! It will be less dusty that way because everything sticks to you!
