Hello,
Our wooden windows from 2004 need a new coat of paint. I have received two quotes, and the only difference is the number of paint layers. One painter wants to apply two coats on everything, while the other suggests only one coat overall and a second coat just on the weather-exposed edges. Those are definitely the most damaged. However, some of the vertical sections also show signs of aging. I am leaning towards two coats to ensure as long a maintenance interval as possible.
What do you think, or what experience do you have with this?
Regards and thanks,
M.
