Hello,

I am new to the forum and would like to greet everyone.

We are currently having a semi-detached house built and are unsure about the wall covering. We were recommended paintable fleece wallpaper.

I have a question regarding its durability: How many times can paintable fleece wallpaper be painted over? Is it the same as with textured wallpaper?

Also, does paintable fleece wallpaper eventually become as easy to remove from the wall as standard non-woven wallpaper? What quantity would be needed for each option?

Thank you in advance.

Regards,
Markus

8 weeks is quite a long time... My screed installer says to leave it for 21 days before starting the drying process. I wonder how long the entire drying period will take, since we are supposed to move in by the end of March—it probably won’t happen.

8 weeks including drying phase – so 8 weeks until the floor is ready for covering.

You didn’t rush or anything, I mean without an additional dryer or similar? Could it also go faster?

He writes that the amount of screed is higher than usual and that he had additives...

I see your end of March timeline as quite ambitious if the screed is only being installed now... but it’s doable. However, I wouldn’t rush it either.

The screed was installed yesterday. Yes, the schedule is tight, but as I said – theoretically – we’ll have to see how we manage to resolve it.

Heating and, above all, proper ventilation are absolutely essential.

And now leave the screed to cure for several days without any disturbance – and definitely avoid tilt ventilation.
