I have a question about painting the exterior topcoat plaster.
Should it be painted?
We have mineral plaster, and the paint is slightly yellow. There is only a faint cloudy spot in one area; otherwise, the topcoat plaster looks good overall.
Now the question about painting the topcoat plaster has come up.
It’s included in the offer, and the plasterer would do it if we want.
When I asked about pros and cons, he didn’t provide any strong arguments either for or against painting. So I’m turning to you.
What advice do you have, or what would you recommend?
Have you had any positive or negative experiences with painting or not painting the plaster?
Thanks in advance!
Best regards,
xdiver

I’m bringing this topic up again because we’re facing the same question now. The plasterers are starting today and asked if we want the house painted afterward. They would recommend it.
How was it for you?
