Good morning everyone,
I am a proud owner of a detached house currently undergoing renovation and remodeling.
One of my biggest challenges is my staircase 🙁
We have a concrete staircase, like those found in older schools, with that kind of patterned surface.
I want to change it. My idea was to paint it pure white and then add colored carpet treads, the semi-circular kind on top. We also have children, so the slip resistance is important.
I would like to do this myself, or possibly with support from a professional painter.
Has anyone done this before? What type of paint was used? Does it hold up well and provide good coverage?
What else could be done? I also thought about cladding it with laminate. Removing the staircase is not an option.
I’ve been searching for weeks but can’t find anything.
Many thanks for your advice.
Best regards from the South
Regards
