Hello,
I’m looking for a black oven and cooktop, preferably completely black. The cooktop should be an induction type with a width of 60cm (24 inches), not flush-mounted but frameless (no stainless steel frame). It doesn’t matter much to me whether they come as a set or separately.
I’m fairly open in terms of features. A roasting function isn’t necessary but would be nice to have. The oven should have the standard functions like convection/forced air. Pyrolytic cleaning is not required. Telescopic rails would be a plus.
Do you have any recommendations?
Gorenje models are around 500-600 euros, but I’m not sure about their quality.
Bosch can be found for 700-800 euros (HBA534EB0 and PUE611BB1E), but these seem to be discontinued models.
There is also a set from AEG, which, in my opinion, offers nearly every feature, including some I don’t really need. This set is listed for around 2000 euros in many online stores, but the local appliance store offers it for 1150 euros.
AEG HX6246MS3A
Ideally, I’d like to spend up to 700 euros, but it seems difficult to find a good quality option in full black within that price range.
I’m open to suggestions.
Best regards

Just because AEG is no longer independent doesn’t mean that everything sold under the brand is of inferior quality. As far as I know, white goods under the brand are always made by Electrolux, which is a major manufacturer capable of producing very good appliances. In my research, I found that AEG washing machines and dishwashers are among the best. I am not sure about cooktops and ovens, or only know the retailer perspective, which is not necessarily unbiased. Nevertheless, I will most likely order an AEG induction cooktop with integrated downdraft ventilation for our new kitchen. The other brands are simply too expensive.

Agreed. On top of that, it seems the good days of AEG are over.
We still have the reliable AEG appliances (oven, dishwasher, washing machine...) from, believe it or not, 1996 😀 and are already thinking about what brand to choose for replacements... I remember AEG as "unbox it – turn it on – doesn’t work"... and now those good times are supposedly over 🙄

Their cooktops and ovens last just as long as those from Miele. However, the appliances perform less—but that mostly depends on the person operating them. A 300°C (572°F) pizza setting combined with a pizza stone is really great. Or the built-in core thermometer. Or pyrolytic self-cleaning. And so on.
But this actually has nothing to do with durability.

Preferably a device that doesn’t break down after two years and simply has good quality that you enjoy using ;-) Of course, AEG, Bosch, etc. can also break down after two years.
But maybe Gorenje is a hidden gem when it comes to quality. Hence the question of whether the extra cost for clearance models from, for example, Bosch is worth it.
The AEG devices are almost too expensive for me. I owned a freestanding cooker from Gorenje for years and was very satisfied. It was one of the early induction models and never had any issues.
Maybe that helps you.
Otherwise, it’s hard to get meaningful opinions on this. Brand opinions are somewhat available, but on specific models (except in the high-end segment) it’s almost impossible. Manufacturers often use numerous different names for the same models depending on where you buy them, mainly to make comparisons difficult, as prices vary frequently or there are special offers.
My personal experience – I have used Siemens, Bosch, Gorenje, and Ikea appliances so far. None of them have broken down on me.
