ᐅ Oven and refrigerator stacked vertically in Ikea Faktum kitchen system

TimmaoI recently noticed that some manufacturers offer kitchen cabinets with the refrigerator built into the lower section and the oven installed above in a tall cabinet. I would like to achieve something similar in my IKEA kitchen. Such a cabinet is not explicitly available, but perhaps someone here has experience with this and has created something like it.
Hello
I have a similar issue. I want to fit both the dishwasher and the oven into a tall cabinet. So far, the only solution I’ve found is to install the dishwasher in a standard base cabinet with a regular countertop on top. Then, the oven cabinet (I believe about 1.40m (4 ft 7 in) high) is placed on the countertop, but upside down. Hmm, hard to explain. If you just put the cabinet on the countertop normally, the oven would be too high. By turning it upside down, you get the oven at a better height, and there’s still a compartment above it.
Basically, this solution works for me, but I will still check with Ikea to see if I can install both appliances in a regular tall cabinet—dishwasher at the bottom, then a panel and/or drawer, and the oven above.
Good luck

Nayla_106816 Nov 2012 12:12Hi,
basically, it is NOT possible to install a standard dishwasher into a tall cabinet. These dishwashers already have an external width of 60cm (24 inches), so they simply do not fit into a 60cm (24 inches) wide tall cabinet. However, there are built-in appliances from third-party manufacturers with a width of about 55cm (22 inches) that should fit. That said, I have never personally encountered a customer who actually has such a device, so I cannot comment on installation or functionality.
@ Steffis:
There are no base cabinets for a dishwasher. The unit ALWAYS stands on its own feet, has a front panel and a toe kick, and that’s it. It looks as if it is built into the cabinet, but technically it is not. It is also certainly possible to place the 125cm (49 inches) tall cabinet (not 140cm (55 inches)) on top of the countertop. You should actually turn it around, but not because the oven is too tall—the cabinet has the same hole pattern top and bottom, so you can install the oven at the bottom and place a 9.4cm (3.7 inches) panel between the countertop and the oven. The main reason to flip it is because the cabinet is open at the top; it would look strange to open the door and see the kitchen ceiling. However, it is absolutely necessary to support the countertop on both sides of the dishwasher because otherwise the appliance would have to carry the entire load above it, which it is not designed for. To do this properly, place at least 2, preferably 4, UTBY legs for 90cm (35 inches) under the countertop and then position the dishwasher in between, and the setup should work. Just to anticipate, you can only make such "extras" if you build the kitchen yourself. Ikea installation teams follow regulations, and such modifications are not included.

Thank you for the explanation. I will have to do everything myself, but I have a carpenter to support me. However, I hope there will still be enough space for the legs on the side, as our kitchen is very small.

And with an oven and refrigerator in a tall cabinet, you should consider how much electricity you want to pay for...
