Hello

I am looking for a system to monitor both outdoor and indoor areas using cameras. The system should be wireless. I have found devices that use battery-powered cameras and operate via Wi-Fi. However, I do not have Wi-Fi and do not want it. I only have a mobile phone with an unlimited data plan. So, the cameras should run on batteries and send their signal to a main station. Do you have such a system or know of a product like this?

Thanks for your help!

A wireless connection between the camera and the station is very similar to Wi-Fi...

...You can set up an "invisible" Wi-Fi network without internet access. Wi-Fi and the internet are two different things and can operate independently of each other.

However, you will need VERY LARGE batteries if the system is expected to operate for more than 24 hours...

It won’t work without additional power... especially a transmitter unit for good-quality images requires a lot of energy...

For GoPro cameras, average battery life found online is around 2 to 3 hours. For surveillance purposes, a wireless system seems unsuitable to me. At a minimum, power should be supplied by cable. In that case, I would also lay network cables alongside.

Or a network cable connected to a PoE switch, then you only need a PoE-enabled camera.
