Hello,

We would like to install (ideally) four outdoor outlets at our barbecue area.

A separately protected underground cable is already laid in the ground and comes vertically out of the ground at the barbecue spot.

We would prefer a four-gang outdoor outlet with a stone-look finish (cover opening forward) or a stainless steel pedestal with four outlets as well.

Has anyone had experience with these types of outdoor outlets?

Regards,

Dirk

Do you want to do electric grilling? 😀
We have a pedestal.
The question about experience is difficult for me... They work, electricity flows!

Electric grilling? 😕

No, rather not... 😱

Seriously, it’s more about possibly providing lighting for the gazebo or mainly a power supply for the pellet smoker...

Would you mind telling me which manufacturer your column is from?

I'll have to check that tonight... my husband is the expert when it comes to technical stuff 😉

Hello Dirk,
it’s a power outlet column from Greencraft. I assume it was bought at Obi. My husband doesn’t order online 😉
Details:
- Height 510 mm (20 inches)
- 2 power outlets
- switched together
- each outlet can be switched ON/OFF/manual timer with a hand switch
- 5 m (16 ft) cable
- mounting base and ground spike
- solid plastic duct
- 3 cable entries for up to 5 x 2.5 mm² (13 AWG) conductors
- base diameter 170 mm (7 inches)
Costs around 50 €

It looks very ugly, but has separate switches and a timer. For us, it’s nicely hidden in bamboo 🙂 otherwise, he would have had to replace it 😉
