Hello everyone,
my installer asked me whether the outdoor unit of the air-to-water heat pump should be mounted on the house (exterior wall) or placed on a small concrete slab on the ground next to the house.
Is there a recommended method for this? I couldn’t find anything specific through Google.
Thanks in advance

A condensate drain is, of course, necessary; otherwise, the installation wouldn’t be done properly. Not necessarily. A soakaway pit is equally sufficient.
I wouldn’t recommend prefabricated house assembly; as snowy mentions, there is a risk of structure-borne noise.
